Private Office

Dedicated desk, garden view, walk-off balcony. A real workspace.

🖥️

Desk & Monitor

We're filming our own walkthrough soon.

Quick Start

  • Adjust the chair (lever under the seat) so feet are flat, elbows around 90°
  • Plug your laptop into the USB-C / HDMI cable hanging at the back of the desk
  • Press the monitor's power button (bottom-right edge). If no image, press the Source button until your laptop appears
  • Outlet bank under the desk has 4 outlets and 2 USB-C PD ports

Pro Tips

  • The garden view is a clean Zoom background — no virtual background needed
  • If your USB-C cable charges your laptop but won't show video, it's a charge-only cable. Swap to a full-spec USB-C in the drawer

If It's Not Working

  • Monitor stays black: press Source / Input on the monitor (back-right edge), cycle through HDMI 1, HDMI 2, USB-C until your laptop shows up.
  • Mac doesn't see the monitor: hold Option, click Apple menu > System Settings > Displays > Detect Displays.
  • Windows: nothing on the monitor: press Win + P, choose Duplicate or Extend.
  • Dock isn't charging the laptop: confirm the dock's barrel jack is plugged into the wall. Some laptops want 90W+ — use the laptop's native brick during heavy work.
📶

WiFi & Connectivity

We're filming our own walkthrough soon.

Quick Start

  • Connect to the home wifi (SSID on the welcome card). Speed test should hit 200+ Mbps in main areas
  • Ethernet cable lives in the desk drawer — plug into the desk jack for a wired connection
  • Close the office door for cleaner video call audio

Pro Tips

  • If wifi feels slow at the desk, forget the network on your laptop and rejoin — devices sometimes stick to a far-away node
  • Heavy 4K streaming elsewhere in the house can starve a video call. If a roommate's watching Netflix, that's likely it

If It's Not Working

  • Video calls dropping or robot voice: plug in the ethernet cable from the drawer. If you can't, move closer to the nearest mesh node.
  • Wifi works elsewhere but feels slow at the desk: forget and rejoin the network on your laptop.
  • VPN making everything sluggish: some corporate VPNs add 100+ ms of latency. Disable it for a quick test if your IT team allows.
