WiFi Network
Quick Start
- Network name and password are on the welcome card and posted in the kitchen
- Connect like any wifi network. Eero mesh covers every floor — no dead zones
- Run a speed test (speedtest.net) — expect 200+ Mbps in main living areas
Pro Tips
- The guest network is isolated for privacy. If you want to use AirPlay or Sonos with your own device, you need to be on the main network — text me and I'll move you over
- Wired beats wireless every time. Workspace and behind the TV have ethernet drops if you need them
If It's Not Working
- "Incorrect password" even though it looks right: confirm you're picking the right SSID — the guest network has a slightly different name. Some older devices also can't join WPA3-only networks; text me and I'll switch you to a compatible SSID.
- Slow in one specific spot: forget the network on your device and rejoin — devices sometimes stick to a far-away node.
- AirPlay or Sonos can't see your phone: almost always because your phone is on the guest network and the speakers are on the main one. The two networks isolate by design.
- Whole network dropped: text me. Power-cycling the gateway is a host-only fix.
